Early attempt at ceramics by Andreas Riess. Inspired by the book "Das Töpferbuch" by Bernard Leach and travelling France a distinctive style for basic stoneware objects developped.

Pottery was hip in those days. A book I came across presented an instruction on how to built a potter's wheel. Aquiring the skills of throwing a pot was a matter of practis. All pieces crafted by me between 1975 and 1980.
